The Great Challenge – Week 43
Well shoot. I looked up and realized I haven’t updated you guys on The Great Challenge with Dean since week 33. Ten whole weeks of nothing!
Mea Culpa.
But yes, I have been continuing with the challenge. And still crushing it. 43 weeks done, and stories in each of them. Several of the recent weeks have had two, sometimes three, stories in them. Because I’ve been writing for the Anthology Workshop that I’ll be attending in Vegas at the end of this month. And I went to a scifi writing workshop up in Vegas at the end of last month, and wrote three stories that week.
So yeah, continuing to do well.

I ended up finishing 2019 with about 225,000 words written. Best writing year I’ve had in a while. So that’s nothing but win.
This year, I want to get that total to 400,000. I ended January with 38,000 words written, so on track to get there so far.
Also lots of novel work to finish up this year. 9 more weeks of this challenge, and I’ll continue with weekly short stories after it’s done, because it’s a good thing to do. But my primary focus will shift to longer works once the challenge is done.
In the meantime, stand by for lots more releases this year. LOTS of stories to get out for you to read and enjoy.
