The Great Challenge – Week 29
Week 29 of The Great Challenge with Dean went pretty smoothly. More success, and I actually got the story to him with a few hours to spare! Shocker, right?
The only wrinkle was NaNoWriMo started up on Friday, and I determined to join in this year in order to finally finish (or at least come close to finishing) Warfare Qualified, the first of the Incaran Confederation Navy series that I’m been dorking around with for…2 years? Something like that. Bad focus in 2017 and 2018 led to almost no progress on it. I made some good progress earlier this year, then got distracted by moving and divorce finalization stuff and…well you know.
Anyway, it’s time to get back to it. We’ll see how it goes, doing both weekly stories and the novel. But I’ve won NaNo a couple times before, so I know it’s doable.
I am off to a slow start, though. Behind the curve by a fair amount as of tonight. But that’s ok. There’s plenty of time to catch up, and I write at a pretty good rate when I actually got off my duff and do it. 😉
