The Great Challenge – Week 26
Success continues apace on The Great Challenge with Dean. That said, I almost didn’t make it. I spent a bunch of time getting seven titles published during the week (more on that in another post), and then I got busy with some other important personal stuff.
So I ended up writing the last half of the story bleary-eyed from fatigue at 2300 Sunday night, and got it over to Dean 5 minutes before midnight.
But regardless – that’s a win!
26 for 26. And with that, I get a $300 prize in the form of credit for workshops. Nice.
Here are the stories from the Challenge:
- Red Orchid – Romance – 3,800 words
- Debts And Obligations – Sword and Sorcery – 14,200 words
- Naughty And Nice – Modern Fantasy – 4,800 words

That brings it to 131,772 words total for this challenge, and 169,659 words for the year over the span of 87.15 hours (1,946.75 words/hr on average).
Now then. I did NOT get any progress done on the novel challenge. Too much other stuff happened. I’ll see about getting going on that this week.
That’s it for now. Back again in a little while to tell you about those seven published titles.
I’m participating in the Kick-Ass Divas Of SciFi promotion through Bookfunnel this month. Jo, the Captain of the Pericles, is a kick-ass lady, and she insisted on participating. So we’re in, and we discounted The Pericles Conspiracy from its usual $5.99 to $2.99 for the rest of the month.
There are 18 other writers also participating. So go to the promotion page and check out their stuff, and mine, then make many purchases. If you do, we’ll love you long time. 😉
Go!
