Playing Catch-Up
Well. I’ve not posted anything here in a long, long time. Lots to catch up on.
First, I finished updating all of the covers on the remaining Glimmer Vale books. To wit:
I think they are a lot better, in terms of broadcasting the genre correctly and in screaming “This is a series that goes together!”
That said, the cover for the short story, Wedding Gifts, is still in progress. Would have been done by now, but I’ve been distracted the last three weeks executing a household move so haven’t given the cover artist the feedback he needs to finalize it. Will get it done in the next week or so.
Next, I’ve put out a few more episodes of Story Time With Michael Kingswood. Episode 72 posts tomorrow, so yeah we’ve got some catching up to do.
Other events of late.
I finished writing six short stories for the Anthology workshop I’m attending in Vegas starting the end of this week. This will be the third year I’ve attended this particular workshop, and I’m super happy it’s moved from the Oregon Coast to Vegas. Not that Oregon isn’t nice but Vegas is much more convenient.
And also more fun, in a bunch of ways.
I’ve also been continuing work on Warfare Qualified, the very overdue first book in my forthcoming Icaran Confederation Navy series. What can I say, my production has sucked the last year and a half or so. But now that the move and a couple other weights that have been hanging over my head are gone, I intend to really hunker down and get the dang thing done in the next month or so.
That’s it for now. I’ll be posting daily until I get caught up on the podcasts, then get back to more regular posts as we go forward, as a means of keeping myself honest in meeting my production goals.
Talk to you soon.
