#NaNoWriMo – 4 Days And Counting…
It’s time for an update! Because that’s how I roll. 🙂
I did not rock quite as hard yesterday as I did on Friday, or as I wanted to. I got just under 2,000 words written. So far today I have 1,548 words down, for a total of 40,091 words. Pretty good. But not good enough. Just under 10,000 words to go, and 3 and a half days to do it.
Can it be done? Oh hell yeah. And I’m going to do it, too. At this point, I’m close enough to making it that I’ll be SERIOUSLY pissed at myself if I don’t go the distance. Besides, Glimmer Vale has become quite interesting (I think). It’ll be fun to see how it works out. I’ve got the last chapter written already, as well as the first 20 or so. I have jumped around in the past (I did it with Masters quite a bit). In this case, I know exactly how I want it to finish. The trick will be getting the rest of the action to match up with the desired end goal. Fun, fun.
As if that weren’t enough motivation, fellow writer Kevin McLaughlin provided even more motivation in his blog today. He’s going to totally crank out words Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. If he can crank out 42,000 words in three days, I can surely crank out 9,000 in 3.5. So here’s wishing Kevin good luck and easy-flowing words.
I’ll get back to Glimmer Vale now.
