#NaNoWriMo Update
It’s now 12 November. I have 14,298 words written in Glimmer Vale. That puts me about 4,000 words shy of where I needed to be at the end of the day yesterday. How did that happen, when I got off to such a great start? Well, I had a couple of bad days, that’s how. So far I’ve written every day in November, which in and of itself is a first. But last week I had one 250 word day. Then this week I had a 450 word day and a 600-ish word day. That would be last night. For whatever reason I just COULD NOT keep my eyes open after about 9:30 in the evening.
So I’m getting started writing this evening feeling not nearly as awesome about NaNoWriMo as I did this time last week. Am I out of it? By no means. I’ve got 19 more days to go, counting tonight. That equates to just 213 extra words per day: less than one page. What I really need is a few 2,500 to 3,000 word days and I’ll get right back on track. I’ve had a couple or three 2,300 to 2,500 word days so far this month. No reason I can’t do it again. Heck, back in July I had a 4,200 word day.
So it’s still totally doable. Right, time to go write.
Yeah…I did that similar sounding words bit (I’m sure there’s a name for it) on purpose.
🙂
Alliteration? Homonym-shenanigans? Homonanigans?
🙂
One of those things, I guess.
That’s what I get for not being an English major.

Funny JE Medrick. Of course it’s homonyms (same sound)…
