Children’s Hospital Boston
…is the BOMB!
I just gotta say it.
My wife has a blog about being a stay at home mom. She posts now and then about her challenges. And the good times, too. She asked me to write a post about our experience this week at Children’s, and how things went. I was happy to oblige. If anyone’s interested, the post is right over here. Go take a read.
I’ll leave you with a picture of a nice friendly nurse doing a great job for our little man (also pictured).
I read the post on your wife’s blog. It was a good idea not to watch the extubations. You would have registered them as much heavier than they actually are, and you don’t need a stressful memory impression. And your presence would have not been registered by your little one, as he was sedated. Better you stayed away.
As for the medical devices, they’re fascinating :D. I’m not an engineer, but I’m fascinated by any device (medical or not) and the study of the devices helped me pass the time when I stayed in the ICU 18 hours, fully awake.
I’m glad for his speedy recovery. Wish you and your family the best 🙂
Thanks for the well-wishes. I appreciate it.
Yeah, isn’t all the high tech stuff cool? I totally love it. The way we can treat and sustain people through such physically traumatic events, and have it be so routine, is just amazing.
