I wrote most of Glimmer Vale during NaNoWriMo 2011 and finished it in December of the same year.  It’s a short fantasy novel about two men, Julian Hinderbrook and Raedrick Baletier, who are heading home from the war.  Eschewing the more commonly used southern pass through the mountains in order to reach their destination faster and with less fanfare, they are accosted by brigands shortly before entering the Glimmer Vale, a sheltered valley in the middle of the mountains and home of the small town of Lydelton.  After evading the brigands, the friends reach town and learn that Lydelton has been harrassed by the same group of brigands for weeks.  Trade is slowing because of the robbers and the town has begun to fear for its survival.  Seeing potential saviors in the two veterans, the mayor and constable ask for their help in driving the brigands off.

I envisioned Glimmer Vale as Seven Samurai in a fantasy setting.  Fun and action-packed, it is available for purchase in ebook form for $4.99.
